First off, I would like to thank Newgrounds for the award I got from my Madness Day Flash. It gained a lot of positive feedback from Newgrounds AND sheezyart (getting featured). I personally thought my movie was "portal passible". I feel that I can do better.

Lets see if I could get a couple of movies underway before October ends. Them being a Lock Legion flash and a halloween flash (no!...just dont ask!)

yeah, I think I'll be lucky if I finish my madness movie by tommorow. I just hope no one catches on with my idea.

Just got my cheque from Done And Dusted so now I can officially say the 101 Challenges 3/4 of the way done. With the cheque, I'm planning on getting myself a 360 Elite and a ticket to visit my girlfriend this autumn. So fucking happy with this but still slightly angry that the cheque came a month later than I hoped (was origionally planning on seeing my girlfriend this summer before she had to study for her medical classes.)

Also, I'm sorry that I wasnt able to throw in a bunch of animations in between like I promised in the last Log. Was pretty much swamped with 101 Challenges and College. Lets hope I actually keep my promise this time round and hopefully submit SOMETHING before October. Also, I'm not planning on a 3rd Sonic Halloween Flash so stop fucking PMing me about this.
Maybe I will, time will tell.

btw, I passed my NC Games Course with full marks so this is another thing thats worth celebrating about. Only shit thing is that it doesnt change the fact I'm still on the waiting list :C

I've now completed 25% of the animations for the TV show I'm helping out on and with that, I received my first cheque and bought me a Wii with 5 games and I'll be buying myself a laptop next week :P.

also, I'll be trying to through in some side projects in the meantime to let people know I'm not dead, yet!

Recently, I was asked by the producer for 101 challenges to animate the intro and stings for the TV show and of course, I accepted this challenge (lol, bad pun). So hopefully after this, I'll not only get paid but hopefully get more flame for animating again like I once had. its going to be stressfull as hell but still going to be alot of fun to do :P

I was meant to post this on Newgrounds after when I submitted it on SA two weeks ago but I simply forgot, anyway, regardless that i calmed down a bit, I still feel strong about what I wrote >:(

Theres one thing that I really cant stand and I think I speak for all of my fellow animators on this and that is Writers, Musicians and Voice Actors and their attitude towards us when it comes to making flash.

I like those people, really I do but most of them clearly dont understand animation or have had NO personal experience. It just pisses me off when they bitch and whine at you to get something done as they would probably expect you to pull a Disney Classic out of your ass in a few hours.

Animation is alot more than drawing a picture and making it move, theres a hellovalot more to it than that. Theres a vary amount of frames we would put in each second where it would drive a perfectly sane person loony. theres the detail we would sometimes put in which would commanly not be noticed at all. it takes hours, if not days , if not months to make a good short animation which is why its hard and most animators give up on stuff half way through or just give up altogether

ok, with voice acting, what is there to really do? well, all you need to do is to record your voice and tell you what to say and your done. These people are fuck easy to work with because most of them are friendly and great people with amazing voices. Only annoying thing is that they will be impatient as hell and want you to finish quickly so they can see the character they were voicing in action.

Musicians, I respect to a certain point. theres alot more to it than remixing and bashing a few notes on the FL. Muscians are pretty unpredictable when working with them because making music from scratch takes just as long as making a flash, so sometimes you would finish your flash but the musician wants to do it all again or they would take waaaaaay to long to make a song altogether. hince why its better for the musician to finish his/her piece before the animator can do anything

Writers, I have to say are the worst to work with. they write a script and they expect you to do EVERYTHING from it, like its not a big deal to you. not only that, they will push you and expect you to finish at a certain point which really does annoy the living fuck out of me. in my opinion, its better if an animator can write their own shit or at least have a writer who was an animator. that way, he would understand your position and respect you more.

hopefully by the end of this weekend I would have finished my commision for www.101challenges.com and I'll be sure to post the finished piece onto NG. After when I get that project out of the way, I'll be able to focus more on random crap which got me into the interest of animation in the first place like parodies and tributes.

Also, my collage course is going to start in the 22nd of Augest and I really cant wait for it, I'll be taking the introduction of games technology which the title really speaks for itself, its going to be fucking awesome!!!!!!

Also I'll hopefully get my laptop at around that time too.....

I must say, the site looks a hellovalot better the last I wondered here, Serious Kudos to TomFulp and the gang! As for flash projects, I'll be working on a comission this weekend for the boys at www.101challenges.com which is something I really should get myself around to do.
